Directions:  As you enjoy your summer, take time to read a few good books.  Find
the course for which you are registered and read the assigned books before you
return to school in August.  Your English teacher will hold you accountable for reading
the assigned books so take a few notes.  Basic novel notes usually include the
following:  1) title, 2) author, 3) setting, 4) characters, 5) conflicts, 6) events, 7)
resolution, and 8) theme.
